Little Panthers Preschool is an extension of Eisenhower Elementary and provides 4-year-old preschool for children in the Great Bend community. All day preschool for 3-year-olds and 4-year-olds is available on a limited basis to USD 428 Staff Members.

Preschool Expansion Plans - Fall 2024
The USD 428 Education Foundation is pleased to announce the launch of a capital campaign to support the Little Panthers Preschool expansion and the 15 classrooms that will open in August of 2024 to accommodate up to 288 students, ages 3 and 4 years old.
Contributions and pledges of any amount will be accepted.
A suggested donation of $10,000 will sponsor a classroom to support learning for decades to come.
After a thoughtful inventory of existing preschool materials by our teachers, USD 428 is seeking community support to outfit 10 of the 13 PreK classrooms with furniture, imaginative play stations, and enrichment opportunities to provide continuity and equality throughout our classrooms. Items include,
Classroom Furniture - student tables, chairs, functional room dividers, storage/display for learning materials
Play “Centers” for social skill development - kitchen, around-town carpet, pet vet center, art center, water/sand table, and dramatic play table with costumes
Active learning games - alphabet, counting, sorting
Motor skill development - blocks, puzzles, Magna-Tiles, shapes, sorting, and more
Curriculum - “Get Set for School” - Heggerty (phonics) - Second Step (social-emotional learning)
Notes:
We will reuse all furniture and classroom items from the current Little Panthers location. This covers 3 classrooms which were opened in 2021.
We will reuse all classroom items from Riley & Helping Hands Preschool that are in good shape and are needed for instruction.
Lakeshore (the furniture vendor) will schedule a delivery that includes sending a team to unload the truck, unpack all of the boxes, assemble anything that needs to be assembled, place everything into each classroom, and clean up.
