- New storm shelter (at classroom addition)
- Address student drop-off by relocating main entrance to back of schools, new driveway, new parking lot
- Build new Sixth-grade classroom wing
- Expand cafeteria and kitchen to accommodate larger student body (50% increase with 6th grade)
- Renovate/enhance to meet educational needs
- Accommodate expanding needs, technology and infrastructure demands in electrical, lighting, HVAC and plumbing in existing building
- Install all weather field and standard practice field, dedicated bleachers for GBMS
- Renovate bathrooms to meet ADA accommodations
3. RENOVATIONS TO GREAT BEND HIGH SCHOOL:
- Safety/security
- New controlled and secure entrance, installation of intruder hardware
- New screen wall for safer student foot travel between GBHS & physical education classes in the Panther Athletic Center
- Construction of two storm shelters, used for orchestra room and multipurpose space in PAC
- New orchestra space (storm shelter) and technology upgrade in Auditorium
- New expansion for health and wellness programs
- Renovations to accommodate expanded needs and uses – renovate kitchen, expand lockers, expand restrooms
- Renovate/enhance to meet educational needs
- Accommodate expanding needs, technology and infrastructure demands in electrical, lighting, HVAC, roof, and plumbing in existing building
4. NEW CONSTRUCTION & RENOVATIONS TO WASHINGTON EDUCATION CENTER:
- Safety/security
- Demolish 100 year-old portion of Washington and build new in its place
- New therapeutic learning classrooms, Parent-Teacher Resource Center w/Classroom (storm shelter)
- Remodel 1980s wing for classrooms, therapy, controlled access and office
- Remodel existing gym
5. SUPPORT SERVICES:
- Build new at DEC site – Transportation, Maintenance, and Grounds Building
- Relocation of USD 428 departments and 15 staff members to DEC site

1. CONSTRUCT NEW GYMNASIUM AT GREAT BEND MIDDLE to accommodate 50% student population increase
- Build new gymnasium facility and locker rooms to meet the needs of increased student population (increasing student populations by 50% with addition of sixth-grade)
- New construction includes gym, locker rooms, weight room, and re-task of existing small gym for multi-use and physical education classes
